Indonesian Student Association or usually is called as PPIE (Stand for Persatuan Pelajar Indonesia in Enschede, in bahasa) is a student organization established in December 12, 1998 by Indonesian students in Enschede. A place where Indonesian students from three different Universities in Enschede (Twente University – Saxion Hogeschoolen – ITC) can actualize, interact, and support the activities for the students or the forthcoming students.

PPIE has Pancasila (official philosophical foundation of the Indonesian states) as its foundation which more emphasize on Nationalism and Internationalism. PPIE concerns on social, cultural and education of its member while promoting Indonesian vibrant and versatile culture to the Universities and community at large. The mission is to establish community activities for Indonesian students within and outside the mentioned Universities and in relation with other International students or Student Associations. PPIE activities benefit the University communities by promoting indonesian culture and building relationships. Most of the activities are designed as open events to public to welcome who are interested in taking a deeper look into Indonesian culture, such as Indonesian night where it continuously explores the uniqueness of our culture in arts, cuisines, etc.

PPIE fits into the cultural and diversity category of the Universities as we represent Indonesian students and promote Indonesian culture in Universities communities.
